Coaches,

Welcome to the 2010-2011 softball coaches email list! I am sending out a test email to everyone as I’ve been making changes on the list as coaches have been changing jobs and I’m getting some new coaches to the list. If you are getting this email by mistake or you are no longer coaching softball, please let me know and if you can, forward this to the new coach if possible. I’m sure that I will be making changes to the list during the 1st two weeks of school.

I will start taking open date/announcement emails today and will send out the 1st email on Monday as most of us should be back at school by then. I will also post information to the Texas Prep Softball website (www.texasprepsoftball.net) once per day starting tomorrow.

Thanks again for your support of our softball coaches email list as I am now working on my 6th year of this service to softball coaches in Texas through this service. I am really looking forward to hearing from all of you and am looking forward to another great season of softball in the state of Texas!

First Day of SB Coaches Email List PDF Print E-mail
2011 OPEN DATES
Written by Coach Billy Hicks
Sunday, 15 August 2010 14:59

The first OPEN DATE / ANNOUNCEMENT softball coaches' email for Monday, August 16, 2010 was sent out during the day on Sunday. Right now, we are just below 600 coaches, which is about where we started last year and as coaches subscribed to our list, it built up to about 700. I am still working on filtering out coaches who have moved and not told me (getting return emails) and adding those who have been telling me over the past few days of their new positions. I will start updating the posted coaches email list some time next week.

Right now our totals look like this: Total: 589  ; 5A- 165; 4A- 168; 3A- 111; 2A- 95; 1A- 41; TAPPS- 9.

Also, I would like to ask that all coaches who are sending me open dates to post on the webpage and for the email list, please help me by following the directions listed below to help me get the announcements out to you in an efficient manner. I usually spend about 20-30 minutes each morning updating the lists and if they are not in the following format, it takes more time for me to get the information compiled each morning. So if you can help me by following the format listed below, I would really appreciate it.

School (Conference): Open Dates, Contact Name, Email, Phone   (Font, color, and size don’t matter as I edit all to same size at same time).

Or

Tournament (Host): Dates, Information, Entry Fee, Contact, Email, Phone

Examples:

Los Angeles HS (5A): Open dates for JV / Varsity on November 15 and 23. Contact Coach Hicks at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , (979) 236-3832.

New York ISD Tournament:  December 27-29; 5-6 game guarantee, Entry Fee $250, Contact Coach Hicks at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; (979) 236-3832

REMEMBER: To get your name added to our list, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If you email me at my school address, I can't always promise, I'll get the information on the website the same day.
